quotes I have a 2010. Not a lot of flex. A little, but not a lot. Better than the old jamis' and kona's I've ridden. They have come a long way since the 09's and earlier that split frames and flexed a lot. I'd love to get a hold of that new rear triangle to have the new rear axle.

quotes I think the shopping cart is nice for runs to the grocery store, but when there is a few grand worth or goods to transport and chance of impact from loony drivers that shopping cart will leave you pretty sad. When you are going to war take a tank. And when it comes to looking cool it is being a biker that is cool, not sporting a fancy rack. The fact that you have a serious rack says enough. I am with you on the ratcheting strap. There are better ways to mount the bike in my opinion.

quotes There are a couple other simple things they could do to improve the design but I think they are sticking to the K.I.S.S. principle (Keep It Simple Stupid) as much as possible. The article recommends you get a tray long enough for the longest bikes and it will be fine for the rest. Also, as you ratchet down the strap you can compress the fork which will shorten the wheelbase slightly. I don't know that it would be enough but it is possible.

Good for you Smile I don't race at all, but well must say that this years tech XC I've done improved my skills a lot (especialy moving aroudn on the bike) and made me stronger as ever. I did lots of road riding before as a strength training and after reading james Wilson stuff I can confirm from my experience it sucks for MTB! Lots of people in Europe think that XC is about riding fireroads and then going down barely holding on to a bike. No!

super D you say Smile would love to try that once! I'm more than impressed with guys like Mark Weir cranking it up & down on 40t chainrings... personaly if there is someone I look up to most it is him, power+skills at its best.

Light bike is always easier to move around Smile I'm a bad person to talk about it anyways as I personally don't fancy DH bikes at all. Plus I got into these guys websites, as they were the first one having an opinion that has some sense. I'm usualy just trying to repeat what they say.

Hi I didn't mean anything wrong towards your riding as I have never ridden with you Wink it was just an argument. But if you feel bad about some riding position stuff I recommend these lectures and vids (and following these guys blogs in general) http://betterride.net/blog/2010/mountain-bike-desending-body-position-101-video-demonstration/

In general if you go to these blogs you will find way more stuff that is true and right than looking at eny forum and listening to guys like meWink
